Google Base - Seller Ratings - Talk About Selling

I noticed google base is including shopzilla reviews again. they seemed to have dropped of a while ago and looking at the base help it was not the only one.

i gave up worrying about it but i noticed it is back i have a few here http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=r...rts+kite&hl=en

does anyone know or can point me to a list of reviews systems google uses, i know they also use their google checkout aswell i just wondered, i did read that you can adjust your pages and review system so google can find it on your website using certain tags.

Justs seems google is seeing this as important and i dont doubt weight will be given to those with some reviews, i'll be interested on others opinions

A few services which Google use for seller ratings...

Epinions, Google Checkout, Mr. Rebates, Pricegrabber, ResellerRatings, Bizrate/Shopzilla,

Odd. I'm sure we talked about it and how important reviews were becoming with google picking up the text of on page product reviews by using the tag darren mentioned. Was it in the feefool discussion I wonder????

Tried and tested the code shown on the above link. Works perfectly.

This is how it'll hopefully show up in search results, once we go live and I register for rich snippets

Sorry for hijacking the thread

Back on topic, Darren I know you used Shopzilla for your ratings - I did the same, using Sagepay as the PSP - and kept having issues with the code embedded on the receipt page. Time and time again, the callback from Sagepay to the receipt page just didn't happen, thus, orders weren't downloading into Actinic and our customers were emailing us telling us they ordered and got a message from Sagepay about the payment being complete but the seller isn't aware. I have now had to remove the Shopzilla code, we did manage to get 2 seller ratings after running it for a couple of days - though I think that's probably because the Shopzilla pop-up on the receipt page offers £150 cash back or something along those lines.

I have not had anyone complain about it, but i would rather it be handled a different way than a pop up if im honest

Mal i thought it had been discussed but could not find it, but your right it might be in the feefo thread ill go and have a search around.

and all the code is already there for you aswell

your making it harder for me to find a reason to continue with Actinic, besides they have made it clear on the forum they have no intention of adding a product review system, seem happy to offer second rate system.

I was looking at a new iPhone app yesterday which scans barcodes using the camera and then goes online to find the product on google base where you can compare by price and rating so things are moving quite fast now in this area.
