EROL gone bust?
  • February 2011
A thread on UKBusinessForums seems to suggest that EROL have ceased trading. Link: http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=196987

Maybe someone should place a link to here as their own forum is locked? ;)

Does anyone know if the export to csv is roughly the same as Actinic? Might be able to make a bit of money there ;)

well this is also something new to me

    EROLPAY (Payment)
Both EROLPAY and Actinic Payments are provided by Creditcall. Any EROL customers who currently use EROL PAY as their Payment Service Provider and choose to migrate to Actinic can switch seamlessly to Actinic Payments without any need to change the PSP/Bank connection. Creditcall have agreed to waive the cancellation fee, and the cost of Actinic Payments should be significantly lower.

I reckon Chris and Malcolm were partners at the initial development stages of the software. Then parted ways early on for what ever reason, and formed two separate companies based on the same software. As time's gone on, the software changed as it grew.
I've seen this happen else where e.g. vcab and digipage. Same property software different companies. They were partners at the development stages but one though it should of been marketed and developed in a different way to the other. Business, it's a roller coaster :D
