LOL. Many years ago I was paragliding round the East coast of Australia and there was a cliff above some sugar beat fields which had a launch ramp - so game on. I spent a few days flying there and landing in the fields below which was great.
10 years later I was watching a programe on TV about the worlds 10 most deadly snakes and yes you have guessed it, the most deadly lived in the exact field I was landing in - they even showed a hang glider landing and said waht a stupid thing it was to do:woot::woot:
Another time I was flying in the The Little Big Horn mountains Montana and this time I did know about the rattle snakes as the guys I met had strimmers to cut down the grass in a 25m circle so we could land knowing there was no snakes - from about 6000ft up and 3 miles away it was an interesting flight knowing you only really had one option for a landing.
