bypassing acatalog

    is there any real benefit in placing an actinic site at root and bypassing acatalog folder nowadays? SEO wise that is?

    The longer the URL, the more diluted the URL keywords become. That theory used to be true, may well still be to this day, but Google seems to strip out the 'useless' part anyway. EG. Look at the Expedia result url

    the shorter the url the better as keyword spaming urls is a thing looked for by google and as acatalog means nothing then best to get rid of if possible which will allow better placemnet of those words that matter.
