Bing the new search engine from ms has let the cat out the bag and stated that it uses user reviews in it's new algo. Google has been working in this area for a while now so I expect big g will be making some big changes soon
i got a few emails about this yesterday, took a look around and to be honest the results had a definate google feel about them, although it was "webmaster tools" that i also looked at i struggled to find any
In some tests Ive done the results match Google so closely that Im tempted to say that they are using google and massaging the data.
As always getting people to use it over Google will be the big hurdle - it will almost certainly go the way of Live IMO:rolleyes:
Its the stuff that has come out about the way it works that interests me TBH - they ahve obviuosly been reading all the Google patent apps eg stuff like new/old, price, reviews etc

I really can't see bing working either. Google has so much of a control that others trying to do the same as them will not work. It needs something completely different to beat Google. What twitter does with their searches are in the right direction, in that i mean in realtime (no more having to wait for you site to be indexed). Also with the internet getting bigger and bigger the need to sort all the information will have to change, and that's where it's at. Google are testing Google Squared in an attempt to create this new way. That's where my I think it will be at.
Have you seen that new kite that's just entered the uk darren. It's got a small electric propeller so can fly in zero wind and is radio controlled - looks pretty cool

Interesting to note that Bings search share has risen from 7% to 12%. Im also seeing a definate income stream on most sites from Bing searches which was not the case when it was live search.
Difficult times ahead me thinks if we go back to the days when you had to optimise for multiples search engines:rolleyes:
